Sunflower Oil in Soap and Skin Care Products

We just love making soaps and other products with sunflower oil.  Sunflower oil has a higher concentration of skin loving vitamin E than any other vegetable oil.  Sunflower oil is also rich in vitamins A and D and essential fatty acids making sunflower oil products an excellent vitamin packed choice for skin care.

According to several sources, sunflower oil helps to prevent acne and premature aging as well as promoting healing of skin and cell regeneration. We use organic Sunflower oil in our products so you don’t have to worry about pesticide residual.

Bacon and Leather Scented Soap?

This morning John (aka Byrdman) blurted out the words “Bacon and Leather scented soap!”  I was at a loss for words and stood staring at him for a moment wondering if I had heard him correctly or maybe, just maybe, he had completely lost his marbles. Then, thoughts of recently announced bacon ice cream and hot dog stuffed pizza went through my head and I quickly determined he wasn’t completely off his rocker.  Seems like some big companies out there have determined this is what people want.

So here it is!

Anyway, I’m sure this will never make it to the mold here.  Leather, well, um, yes I can see that.  But bacon?  Does anyone out there really want to smell like bacon?

Handmade Soap Eco-Friendly Bare Bars

If you are purchasing natural handmade soaps as gifts there is good reason to purchase ones with labels so the recipient knows a bit about the soap and where to buy if they want to purchase more for themselves. However, if you are purchasing for your own use why not purchase them without labels? It’s the eco-friendly way to buy handmade soap and besides you usually just unwrap the soap and throw the wrapper in the trash anyway.
